Monet-Goyon

History

Monet-Goyon M2V Shooting Star

Rescued by our friend Alex in 2023 as it had been living under a workbench and was due to be sent to scrap. Alex had no plan for it other than stopping it’s trip to the scrap man. Donated to the youngest member of the Walsh family in November 2024.

First thing will be to find out what we actually have , but one advantage is that it has a Villers engine so spares do exist this side of the channel.

What we now know about our machine so far, it’s a 1951/52 model with a 3-speed gearbox and a full rectified electrical system.  The bike was originally bought and registered in the Paris area and was disassembled by an English speaker as there are a few labels on bits written in English.
